Created by two brothers with a passion for travelling, Freeborn Hostel (also called as “Palinca” Hostel by our friends 
) wants to be:
“A cozy and friendly hostel in the center of Timisoara with the goal of helping you find the best places to visit in our beautiful city, while making your stay with us one of the best times you will have in your vacation. Warm and friendly atmosphere will make you feel at home and among friends. Events and daily surprises, like “Boxing Day” on Nintendo Wii, will make your stay a memorable one!”
A “Welcome” drink is important when you’re amongst friends, so we offer a shot of home-made traditional “Palinca” to every new guest in our hostel. This is The Trademark of our hostel, one thing we’re renound for not only in Timisoara, but in Romania.
In our travels across the world, we’ve found that the above principles are the most important for a guest. Other things like location or equipment are also crucial when visiting other cities. Because of that, we’ve chosen a location surrounded by parks, only 1 minute walking distance everything: city center, cafés, restaurants, clubs and parks, and everything else.
We also offer a fully equipped kitchen, free tea and coffee, a lounge area where you can watch a movie on demand, or play a game on Nintendo Wii, fast Wi-Fi, and helpful and a friendly staff who will go beyond the line of duty to help you with everything you require!
Close by, the Bega Shopping Center with its Carrefour Express, is the cheapest place to buy food in the center. One of the most beautiful parks from the 7 in the center, Roses Park with its 300 different types of roses, is just at a one minute walk. Many of the outdoor theater plays and music festivals are held here.
The nightlife of the town starts in Union Square with its outdoor pubs and cafés, and during the night the best clubs in town like D’Arc or Fratelli will rock that beat until morning. One of our biggest indoor and outdoor club, Heaven Studio with its outside pool, will make your visit memorable. Club 30, Vanilla, Zambara, and the other clubs show this is a university city, full of life and energy.
