Great location, nice+clean rooms+evenings spent outside in the courtyard with the other guests! I also enjoyed playing Wii and watching the Romanian news. Choosing this hostel was definitely one of the best decisions I ever made because Mădălina and Raul made me feel right at home. Getting back there and talking to the hosts was something I was looking forward to all day. They are amazing, so much fun and they will just bend over backwards to see their guests happy. Way beyond my expectatations!
Fabulous location right in the middle of the small city centre of Timisoara. You can easily walk to everywhere including (20 mins) the train station at Timisoara Nord. It’s a new hostel so everything is fresh and new. Very nice and helpful staff. Bars, restaurants and takeaways all within a few mins walk, Carrefour supermarket also very close by. Nice little space outside to sit in. Exactly what a small hostel should be like.
I had a really good time at Freeborn hostel. The location is perfect and Timisoara is a very beautiful place! The staff are what makes the hostel though – they are all really helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to make your experience better. Try the palinka! Rooms are decent and theres cool places to hang out. Definitely recommend!
a very personal place to stay. cheap, clean, easy to find. a hostel made for bagpackers. the staff is young and very kind. a big recommendation to everybody!
I read some of the reviews before coming here and I agree with them. I enjoyed my stay at Freeborn Hostel. The staff were very friendly and made me feel welcome. Raul is just a card (very cool) and Madalina is just lovely, both are very helpful, and willing to make your stay as comfortable as possible. So read the other reviews and be assured that it is all true. Great work Raul and Madalina! I also hope to visit again soon and highly recommend to others (in fact I did).
We really enjoyed our stay at Freeborn Hostel. Staff were very friendly, made us feel welcome and happy to help with any questions. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and large secure lockers for luggage and valuables. The hostel is in a central location, very clean and a great place to both relax and have fun. It was very nice to have a complimentary shot of the traditional Romanian drink too (Palinka!). Great work Raul and Madalina! We hope to visit again soon and highly recommend to others
Do not be put off by the lack of reviews for this hostel, which is just starting out….it is a lovely place to stay, and we were sad that we only had time to stay for one night. The owners are extremely friendly, helpful and flexible, speaking perfect English and doing whatever they could to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are spacious, colourful and clean, with large lockable wardrobes to store your things. There is a lounge area with a big TV, Wii console and computer.
This is one of the best hostels I’ve been to. It’s downtown; everything is new and clean. Raul was great, very helpful and welcoming. If you’re staying in Timisoara, you should definitely choose this hostel. I will for sure come again:)
Great hostel! Super nice staff! Raul was very friendly and helpful! The location of the hostel is really excellent: easy to get from the airport and a couple of minutes to main city squares with bars, pubs, shops and clubs. The room was really cozy and homey. The hostel had a nice kitchen and living room, wi-fi and everything was very clean. Great place to meet new people! I’d recommend this hostel for everyone – solo travelers or groups! Definitely gonna come back some time!

Great hostel!!My friend and I had great time, even if only for one night. Raul and Madalina have been very nice, friendly and helpful..and well, Palinka was really good

Great hostel, very clean. Location is perfect, its in the middle of the centre. Also the bedrooms have a lot of space. The owner is very very nice and he helps you always with everything.

Raul – the owner – was really nice and helpful. Everything is new, really clean and quite beautifully decorated. The location is perfect. Next to the Huniand Castle, it’s one minute away from everything. We had a very good time, and will definatly be back again.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed.The hostel is clean and is very near to the town center. From there you can visit everything in a few minutes. The staff is great, very friendly, helpfull. Great value for money. I would recommended it with pleasure.
I only wanted to stay 2-3 days, but I ended staying 10 days.The staff was incredible nice and friendly and made me feel like I was at home.I also loved the city very much and the hostel has a perfect location for exploring everything. Very clean.Thanks Madalina and Raul and Razvan for everything!I will definetly be back!
The host very nice and take care, introduction where to see, where to eat. everything good in hostel, clean & quite. Definetly recommend it!
You can not ask more for a hostel : centrally located ( less than 5 Min to the city centre and the pubs & restaurants area), clean,friendly and usefull stuff. For boring nights you can play for free WII and other electronic games. Definitely worth the money.
